To book an event with Camp One Way:
Call / Email ~ Let us know the date(s), type of event and approximate number of participants you expect. We'll be glad to help you with ideas for planning and publicizing. Call or email as early as possible - some dates are booked months in advance.
Contract ~ We'll issue you a tentative contract, spelling out the details you've requested - times, meals, services and rates. Look it over. If everything's correct, sign and return it.
Reservation Deposit ~ A deposit (typically 20% of the anticipated total cost) is required to reserve your date(s). Send that in as soon as possible, so we can put you in the calendar. Please note that the first $100 of this deposit is non-refundable. The balance is non-refundable if the event is cancelled less than three months before its scheduled date.
Certificate of Insurance ~ Our insurance carrier asks us to get a certificate of insurnace from youth groups only. Simply ask your carrier to issue you a certificate naming Camp One Way as "also insured" for the time you're here. Most will do that at no charge and can even fax or mail it directly to us.
Publicize ~ Let people know about your event well in advance. You'll likely have firmer commitments if you have an early registration and deposit due.
Two-Week Report ~ We'll provide this form, which we ask you to mail or fax to us no later than two weeks prior to your event. This lets us know your final numbers, meal times, and other details to help us serve you better. Note that you will be expected to pay for a minimum of 90% of the number on this report.
Final Payment ~ Final Payment (less the reservation deposit) is due at the time of your event.
Reservation and Cancellation Policies
Unlike some retreat centers, Camp One Way does not host multiple groups simultaneously. Once a retreat date is reserved, we turn away all other inquiries for those dates. If a group cancels their event on short notice, it is often impossible for us to put another event or group into that time, and a facility meant to be used for God’s glory sits idle.
Because we wish to be good stewards of the facilities God has entrusted to us, therefore, using them to the maximum benefit, we have the following reservation and cancellation policies:

THERE IS NO RESERVATION WITHOUT A RESERVATION DEPOSIT. This deposit is normally figured at 20% of the anticipated costs for the event, based on the number of participants expected and the rate in the contract. If two groups are interested in the same date, whichever gets their deposit to us first has the reservation.

The first $100 of the reservation deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE.

If an event is cancelled less than three months before its scheduled date, the entire reservation deposit is non-refundable.

If an event is cancelled less than one month before its scheduled date, the guest group is obligated to pay 50% of the anticipated costs based on the number of participants expected at the time the contract was completed. This 50% includes the non-refundable reservation deposit.

If an event is cancelled less than two weeks before its scheduled date, the guest group is obligated to pay 90% of the anticipated costs based on the number of participants expected at the time the contract was completed. This 90% includes the non-refundable reservation deposit.

If an event is cancelled due to weather conditions making it unwise to travel to Camp One Way, the reservation deposit will be refunded and there is no further obligation to Camp One Way.

Final billing for an event is based on the number of participants reported to us in the two-week report. The guest group is obligated for a minimum of 90% of the number furnished on that report, or an absolute minimum of 20 participants for weekend events. Final payment, less the reservation deposit, is due at the time of the event.
Important Notes & Usage Rules:
We do have a few notes and usage rules here at Camp One Way to be sure that you respect our facility and staff, and to be sure that you are safe and comfortable while you are at Camp One Way. They are as follows:

A Camp One Way staff person will be designated to handle your needs and questions.

Since some Camp One Way staff members live in the retreat center, we ask that guest groups establish a "quieter" time from 11 PM to 7 AM.

Please help us care for our facilities and grounds as God's property entrusted to us. Damages other than normal wear and tear are the responsibility of the guest group.

Since Camp One Way is a Christian facility, we ask that group leaders monitor the use of movies, videos, music, and other forms of entertainment accordingly.

Please keep food in the dining room only.

We will be happy to regulate the heat and air conditioning to suit your comfort - just let us know! Please keep windows closed when either is operating.

Please provide adequate adult supervision for children and youth - especially when boating, fishing and hiking. Guest groups are fully responsible for supervising their own children during their entire stay at Camp One Way.

Intoxication and use or possession of alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs is not permitted on Camp One Way property.

Smoking is not permitted in the retreat center. If needed, an outside smoking area will be designated by a Camp One Way staff person.

Displays on walls should be hung on lines provided or hung with "teacher's putty." Please do not use tape on our walls.

If any area of Camp One Way needs attention, please let a Camp One Way staff person know immediately.
